About this trip.

This 10-day journey offers a seamless blend of exploration and relaxation, taking you from Egypt's iconic ancient sites to the shores of the Red Sea. With all in-country transportation, including a domestic flight and private transfers, every detail is handled.

The trip begins in Cairo, where you'll visit the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, and the Grand Egyptian Museum. From there, fly to Aswan to explore the Philae Temple, take a felucca ride on the Nile, and visit a Nubian village. A trip to Abu Simbel follows before heading to Luxor, where you'll tour Karnak Temple, the Valley of the Kings, and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. The final stop is Hurghada, where you'll relax by the Red Sea or snorkel in its clear waters.

Accommodations are in high-quality hotels, with daily breakfast and exclusive welcome and farewell dinners included. Guided tours provide historical and cultural context while allowing for downtime.

Day by day.

  1. Day 1

    Arrive in Cairo & welcome dinner

    Check in to your hotel and take the afternoon to rest or explore at your own pace.

    In the evening, meet your fellow travellers over a welcome dinner and get an overview of the journey ahead.

  2. Day 2

    The Great Pyramids of Giza and the Grand Egyptian Museum

    Start with the Great Pyramids, exploring them up close and taking in the views of the Sphinx.

    Afterward, the Grand Egyptian Museum, home to the treasures of Tutankhamun. Lunch, then back to the hotel or more of Cairo at your own pace.

  3. Day 3

    Off to Aswan · Temple of Philae & dinner in a Nubian village

    A morning flight to Aswan, known for its scenic Nile views and Nubian heritage.

    Visit the Temple of Philae, an island temple dedicated to Isis, and learn about its relocation after the Aswan High Dam. In the evening, a traditional Nubian dinner in a local village.

  4. Day 4

    Abu Simbel

    An early morning drive to Abu Simbel, two temples carved into the mountainside by Ramses II and later relocated to save them from the rising waters of Lake Nasser.

    Explore the Great Temple of Ramses II and the Temple of Nefertari.

  5. Day 5

    Travel to Luxor & Karnak Temple

    A scenic journey to Luxor, the heart of ancient Egypt. Check in, then head to the Karnak Temple Complex — one of the largest temple sites in the world.

    Free time afterwards to explore Luxor at your own pace.

  6. Day 6

    Luxor · Valley of the Kings + optional balloon ride

    Start early with an optional sunrise hot air balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings (additional fee).

    Then the Valley of the Kings itself, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. Lunch is a home-cooked meal with a local family. The afternoon is yours.

  7. Day 7

    Journey to the Red Sea · Hurghada

    After breakfast, a scenic four-hour drive to Hurghada on the Red Sea, through desert expanses and coastal views.

    The evening is yours to unwind, stroll the marina, or relax by the sea. Overnight in Hurghada.

  8. Day 8

    Snorkelling in the Red Sea

    A snorkelling excursion in the clear waters of the Red Sea, among vibrant coral reefs and diverse marine life.

    Back to the hotel for a restful evening. Overnight in Hurghada.

  9. Day 9

    Return to Cairo & farewell dinner

    A leisurely morning in Hurghada, then an afternoon flight back to Cairo.

    Gather with your fellow travellers for a farewell dinner. Overnight in Cairo.

  10. Day 10

    Farewell & departure
